- Consumption of radon testing kit or pay for the service call?
I have plans to test for radon in my home. I found options test equipment for home around $ 50, and an option for a professional to come and try for about $ 125. Anyone who is familiar with home teams are so reliable as professionals, or is it better to pay only for the bar exam?
For the money you pay a professional, you can purchase a radon detector with electronic alarm. Safety Siren Pro Series 3 model HS71512 radon detector is available: Yes http://radon-solution.com/pg_store.php are not very accurate, but what they need to know they are right. It can give a small error (10%), but will not affect your decision to install a radon mitigation if at home. And best of all we can continuously monitor the level of radon and sound an alarm if there is a problem later. Also note that the test normal may fail if used properly and must be repeated. The electronic sensor just plugs into an outlet and in three days, you have a reading. Good luck.
